Fixing a Connection With No Signal
On your wireless card or USB adapter, you should have a link light. If this light is not lit, you
know you have lost your signal.
If you have lost your signal, follow the steps outlined below to regain your connection. Check to see if you can
log on after each step.
Restarting Your Computer
Shut your computer down. Restart your computer and try to log in.
Check Your Wireless Configuration
| Click on Start, then Settings, then click on Control Panel. |

| Double-click on the Network icon. |

| Click on the Properties button. Then click on the Advanced
tab on the screen that appears.

Click on ESSID. This must be set to airpath (all lower-case letters). Click on
Operating Mode. This must be set to Infrastructure.
Also, make sure that Encryption Level is set to None.
Click OK.
Click OK.
Restart your computer.

Re-Installing Device Drivers
Make sure you have your floppy disk or CD that came with your wireless device. You will need to use it to reinstall
your device drivers. It is also a good idea to check the manufacturer's website for new drivers before installing. Follow
the manufacturer's instructions to properly install these drivers. You may need to shut down your computer after installing.
